Josh Zhixel—Yes Ma'am

I really like sites like this, minimalist (verging on non-existent) with no information at all. Josh Zhixel's (User #22074) site, Yes Ma'am, is simply three great repeated photos of Dusty Springfield in a farm shirt. It's a compelling picture. That's it. Classier than an 'Under Construction' banner.

Here's his username explanation: "I needed an IRC nick in 1996, so I wound up hitting random letters on the keyboard and adding some vowels to it. I later adopted it as a surname." Does he mean he actually changed his name?

I haven't posted on Mefi in probably a year plus, and I'm probably not really proud of any of my posts but that is always the case with the internets. The farther you go back the more embarassing your opinions are. Anyway, maybe this warrants explanation.

Dusty Springfield was a beautiful lady. I like beautiful ladies. There's nothing more to it than that. It's not 'under construction' because I really have nothing worthwhile to say or publish and I am not vain enough to think that random people on the interwebs want to know anything about me.

I host various personal things (photos, etc) on there, and I use the domain for mail. The way I look at it, I would show my real life photo album to friends, but I wouldn't leave it open on the street for everyone to see. The same online.

The title isn't really a site title, it's just the first thing that popped into my head when I thought about Dusty Springfield showing up at my door hitting that pose in that shirt.

Also I never legally changed my name, but pretty much everyone I know in person who isn't a business contact refers to me as that.
