jscalzi—Whatever

jscalzi (User #15351), another MeFi SF author, John Scalzi, has a long, long standing personal website called, Whatever. It's a good site, filled with everything from discussions of his books, to pictures of his dogs. It's hard to pin it down, and it certainly deserves a visit.

I only went to Whatever after spending a lot of August reading several of Scalzi's novels. I loved them, I thought they were great, and I can't wait to read more. I wrote him to say so, and he never wrote back.

Hmmm. Well, I do get quite a lot of mail, so it's entirely possible your e-mail slipped through the cracks. I do try to respond to all the mail I get. So, sorry about that.

In any event, I'm glad you enjoyed the books.

Wow, that was fast, I just posted this! How did you find it?

No worries, I was just taking a gentle dig. I've loved all the books I read, and mostly wrote because I picked up the book at the library based on recognizing your name from Mefi.

My spies see all!

You wouldn't be the first person I know who picked up a book of mine because of the "MeFi's Own" association. It's definitely been a benefit to me (aside from, you know, Metafilter being fun to read on its own).
